Get squatting!

The Ironmum

Today was a quad day (which means squat day!!!)and I thought I would train with volume (and intensity of course!). the cold is still making things difficult but I am feeling a bit better.

Workout

Warm-up

  • 2 sets of front squats 14 reps

Front squat

  • (using just the olympic bar) 3 sets 13 reps

Back squat

  • 4 sets 40kg 10 reps

Leg extension

  • 5 sets 30kg 20 reps

Leg Press (dropset x 3/reps to failure)

  • 130
  • 110
  • 90

Front squat

  • bar plus 10kg 5 sets 20 reps

20 mins powerwalk incline on treadmill

My front squat is still a work in progress so I am not going too heavy. What I did notice is that the front squat is great for isolating the quads more so than a back squat. Good work out and I was sweating during so I know I was working hard. My diet is getting there…
